"What We Do in the Shadows" Debuts in Australia on Foxtel This April

Fang you very much!
In extremely spoooooky news, Foxtel has announced it will begin airing Taika Waititi’s new vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows from 2 April 2019 in Australia.
The first episode of the series, based on Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s mockumentary of the same name, will stream on Foxtel and screen weekly on Fox Showcase from Tuesday 2 April at 5:30pm AWST.
It's a ten-episode run, so cancel whatever you were planning on Tuesdays for the next few months. (Send your apologies to the local futsal league! This comes first!)
The TV adaption debuts a few days earlier in the United States, on the FX network. Still, at least Australians won't be driven batty by the wait.

Whereas the original movie starred Waititi and Clement as immortal vampires living it up (or rather, unliving it up) in Wellington, this new series stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry and Natasia Demetriou as vamps in Staten Island.
Waititi and Clement are now merely producers. Fingers crossed for cameos in the near future. (Just don't flash those 'crosses' at the vampires...)
Though it’s a shame to lose the Kiwi aesthetic, trailers for the America-set series prove its signature sense of humour hasn’t been lost in translation.
Save the date. Your nightmares come true on 2 April.
