Remember "What We Do In the Shadows"? It’s Coming Back as a TV Show

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has the juice to do whatever he damn well pleases in Hollywood.
And what he damn well pleases is what pleases us too.

Waititi and co-director Jemaine Clement (of Flight of the Conchords) are making a TV pilot based on their bloody funny vampire mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows for U.S. network FX (also behind Legion and Fargo).
According to Variety, Clement will write the pilot while Waititi will direct. However, they're not expected to reprise their roles from the original. Instead, the new show will feature Brits Matt Berry (Toast of London), Kayvan Novak and Natasia Demetriou.
So, we’re guessing this newie won’t be set in Wellington either.

Little else is known about the pilot, and FX will still have to watch the thing and give it the greenlight before it can become a series that we too can enjoy.
But don’t stress. Waititi and Clement are still developing a proper big-screen sequel to WWDITS called We’re Wolves, based on the werewolf characters who appear in the 2014 flick. A New Zealand-based show called Wellington Paranormal, centered around the cops from the film, also debuts this year.
Basically, if you’ve never actually seen What We Do In the Shadows, you might want to catch up with it now.
