We Revisited the Craziest Yahoo Answers Threads Before the Site Closes in May

Ah, the classics.

Since 2005 (before Google was the all-knowing search engine it is today), Yahoo Answers was the place many a millennial went to ask questions about their homework, personal life and so much more.

And while some questions were cool and normal, others made us wonder if they should have been reserved for the sealed section of Dolly Magazine.

Unfortunately for Gen Z, many will get to miss out on their opportunity to join the threads of insane questions and poorly spelled queries ‘cos Yahoo Answers is officially shutting up shop on 4 May 2021.

The shutdown is being blamed on other ever-growing forum platforms like Reddit and Quora, so before we cry too hard, here’s a trip down memory lane with the five most cooked Yahoo Answers threads you should check out.

5. Did I turn my boyfriend into a vampire?

To start off, we can’t not acknowledge the obsession some of us had over the Twilight saga back in the day.

Not only did this chick think it was possible to turn her boyfriend into a vampire, but she literally fed him food laced with sneaky human blood. Big yikes.

4. How do I use the internet?

When you steer straight into something and still don’t see it.

At least tyler had a wholesome as heck reply from Brandon N to get him through.

3. What song is 'royals royals'?

Not me Googling the lyrics for Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” when I was 12.

2. Which is worse?

Although Yahoo Answers was a place for questions and therefore answers, it seems some users were just not ready to spill their secrets.

1. How is babby formed?

And finally, the infamous question: how are babies made?

This along with many other similar queries on the site, sparked the making of the ‘how is prangent formed’ video on YouTube, currently sitting at a cosy 40,417,266 views.

If you can’t get enough of these historical posts, users do have until 30 June to request any of your data, but after that it’ll be gone for good.

Here’s to the wildness of the internet.
