Umm, It Looks Like Buff Abe Lincoln Is Joining "Street Fighter V"

Great! Now do Obama.

Street Fighter—though extremely fun—has never been celebrated for its historical accuracy.

But even this is a stretch.

This week, Capcom debuted a brand-new playable character for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, named G.

Except… it’s clearly former American president Abraham Lincoln. And not even subtly.

In a trailer—soundtracked by a tune called "President of the World"—we meet the southern-accented "G", saying he’ll "fight this battle… because it is my duty".

When he’s fully charged, he becomes "Maximum President". See, they’re not even trying to hide it.

G opens up a new avenue for Street Fighter characters, potentially based upon the remaining 44 American presidents. Though, technically, current president Donald Trump probably belongs in the WWE.

Anyway, you can purchase G digitally now. Or, if you’ve already paid for the game’s Season 3 pass, he’s free to download.
