Today In Trump: Actual Presidential Nominee Calls On Russia To Hack U.S. Emails; Conducts Censored Reddit AMA

Well, where to start?
Donald Trump, none too pleased with the attention afforded Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention, couldn’t wait for his Wednesday night Reddit AMA to speak to the public, instead kicking off the morning with a press conference in which he said… just a lot of things.
According to the ABC, Trump chastised the media for attempting to tie him to Russia’s supposed hack of DNC emails.
"Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," he then said, in reference to the emails from Clinton’s private server that were not turned over during an FBI investigation of her time as Secretary of State.
(Though the FBI concluded she was “extremely careless” in the handling of classified information, they found there was no basis for criminal charges.)
Though fellow Republicans tried to chalk up Trump’s comments – in which he called for a foreign power to interfere with an American election through illegal means – as tongue-in-cheek, the ever-unreliable nominee turned to Twitter to indicate that his comments were no joke.
Trump insisted during the conference he had no connection to Russia and has never met its leader, Vladimir Putin, despite previously saying he knew him “very well”.
It has previously been reported that Trump may have received financing from Russia over the years, though it was also revealed yesterday that the Presidential nominee will not release his taxes – an unprecedented move – so the presence of any Russian investors in his businesses, and the truth of his wealth, remains a mystery.
During the same presser, he called Barack Obama the most “ignorant” president ever and then alleged Putin used the “n-word” when referring to him. He then added, “I hope he likes me.”

You’d imagine that Trump would be confronted about much of this during his Reddit AMA (which, notably, was hosted on his “The_Donald” subreddit, rather than the typical “IAmA” space).
But no. He answered a handful of questions, from an effusive audience. Its moderators – who have notably participated in misogynist and white nationalist Reddit communities – kept any dissenting comments or questions from being published.
The Daily Beast noted that a question they asked regarding his tax returns was deleted within fifteen minutes.
And that was Wednesday in America.
