"Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2" Are Being Remastered for PS4, Xbox One and PC

Get ready to grind.

It looks like dreams really do come true, because Activision has announced a new remastered collection that brings together the first two Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games.

That means you'll be able to play on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (via the Epic Games store) from Friday 4 September.

The news was officially confirmed when the man himself tweeted out a poster of the game on his birthday.

From what we know, the remastered collection will include updated visuals, all of the original levels, tricks and characters. Additionally, there will be more challenges, and a create-a-park mode where players can share their custom skate parks online.

Plus, there will be multiplayer modes along with local multiplayer. Like that's not enough, the collection will include "the vast majority" of the soundtrack from the original 1999 game.

Naturally, the internet freaked out after seeing Hawk's post (especially considering the most recent iteration hit consoles back in 2015).

Some even got a little bit nostalgic.

If the trailer is anything to go by, the excitement is definitely warranted.

You can order Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 from JB Hi-Fi for Xbox One or PS4. Otherwise, the game is also available to order for Xbox One from the Microsoft Store. It'll cost you $69, but it's a small price to pay for a lifetime of joy. If you want to play the game on PC, you can also pre-purchase it for $69.95 from the Epic Games store.

You also have the option of buying the digital deluxe edition or the Collector's edition of the game, but you'll have to fork out way more cash for those. The digital deluxe edition includes unique retro content and gear, and will cost $84.95, while the Collector's edition is $169.95.

Now, all you have to do is start counting down the days.
