Thanks, Obama: There Are Probably Only 13 “Game Of Thrones” Eps Left, Ever

Game of Thrones aired its Season 6 finale earlier this week, and left plenty of corpses in its wake.
(In case you missed it, we ran through the remaining villains left to hate, following the epic body count of S6.)
But showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are not done laying waste to your emotions, confirming to Deadline that there are only 13 episodes left, total.
“From pretty close to the beginning, we talked about doing this in 70-75 hours,” Benioff said, “and that’s what we’ll end up with. Call it 73 for now.”
The Season 6 finale, “The Winds of Winter”, was episode 60.
Though the cast was initially only contractually obligated to seven seasons, HBO broke the Iron Bank to keep Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Kit Harington on board for an eighth. (Each actor will reportedly score $500,000 per episode going forward; well, depending on how long they survive for, that is.)
Still, the next two seasons will be short ones, as opposed to the ‘ten episode’ seasons to which we’ve grown accustomed.
As Benioff said, there are likely only 13 hours left; 15 at most.
Can't GOT superfan and American President Barack Obama step in and expand that number by Executive order?
Probably not. Instead, for a Buzzfeed video demonstrating things that are more difficult than registering to vote, the Pres attempted to list all the characters who have died to date.
He fails, but can you blame him? (Spoilers, obvs.)
