The Thirteenth Doctor Who Is a Woman and Lots of Man Babies Are Freaking Out

The BBC has revealed that the thirteenth Doctor of the rebooted Doctor Who series will be played by Jodie Whittaker: A REAL-LIFE WOMAN.

This has evoked some truly feral feels by a few of the show's beloved "fans" who think the announcement is tokenistic and solely catering to the SJWs (social justice warriors) of the fanbase.

The announcement was made during a one-minute ad after the Wimbledon men's final, which unveiled the Broadchurch actor in the final few seconds. She will take on the role after Peter Capaldi's final episode at the end of this year.

Chris Chibnall, head writer and executive producer of the upcoming season, said he always wanted the next Doctor to be female.

"Her audition for The Doctor simply blew us all away," he said.

"Jodie is an in-demand, funny, inspiring, super-smart force of nature and will bring loads of wit, strength and warmth to the role."

As with anything nice, there are people out there who just want to watch the world burn.

So, in true Twitter fashion, they were expertly trolled to oblivion.

Now, to finish them off.
