The Internet Is Baffled by Taylor Swift’s Courtroom Sketch

Courtroom artist on Taylor Swift: I don’t know her.

With Australia preparing to vote on marriage equality and the United States threatening “fire and fury” against North Korea, Twitter has become consumed… with a courtroom sketch of Taylor Swift.

Swift is appearing in court this week in a sexual assault trial against Denver radio DJ David Mueller.

The singer alleged Mueller touched her inappropriately during a meet-and-greet after a concert in 2013.

You can read all about the case here.

On the third day in court, Swift’s mother Andrea provided emotional testimony over the incident.

“She couldn’t believe that after he grabbed her, that she thanked them for being there,” Andrea said.

“It was just destroying her that she said that… as a parent it made me question why I taught her to be so polite in that moment.”

It’s expected Swift will eventually take the stand and provide a first-hand account of her interaction with Mueller.

In the meantime, fans have been lining up outside of court, hoping to snag one of the 32 seats made available to the public and see Swift in the flesh (admittedly, during what must be a fairly harrowing experience).

Those who’ve missed out are having to make do with the controversial courtroom sketch.
