The "Game of Thrones" Finale Might Be Released as Late as 2019

Showrunners for Game of Thrones have admitted that the final season might come in 2018 or 2019 or whenever the producers feel they have the time.

They also cleared up rumours that there will be four prequel spin-offs. HBO programming president Casey Bloys told Entertainment Weekly (EW) that the bar is so high that they would rather focus on one, maybe two.

"The idea is not to do four shows. The bar set by [Benioff and Weiss] is so high that my hope is to get one show that lives up to it," Bloys told EW.

He continued: "If you only developed one, everything would rest on that one shot. It’s such a special show. I want to make sure that [any prequel] feels worthy. We have some amazing writers who want to take a shot at this."

Fans out there were obviously very distressed at the news.

I guess we'll find out soon enough. Until then, we'll just be as emo as Kit Harrington's face.
