There’s been plenty happening in the book world lately. Fans got their first look at Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Narnia adaptation, Ali Hazelwood officially announced a sequel to The Love Hypothesis, and new casting rumours have readers buzzing about Prime Video’s Fourth Wing series.

Fans of Rebecca Yarros' bestselling Fourth Wing series have had plenty to talk about after reports emerged earlier in October that Esther McGregor and Emilio Sakraya have been cast as Violet Sorrengail and Xaden Riorson in Prime Video's upcoming TV adaptation.

On 22 October, the casting was officially confirmed by Prime Video and Yarros herself. With the Empyrean series continuing to dominate BookTok and bestseller lists, anticipation for the adaptation is already soaring.

Ali Hazelwood's The Love Hypothesis sequel gets a title and release date.

 

Good news for romance readers, The Love Hypothesis isn't over yet. Author Ali Hazelwood has officially revealed that her upcoming sequel will be titled The Two-Body Problem, with the book set to hit shelves on 2 February 2027.

The sequel will reunite readers with fan-favourite couple Olive and Adam, following their relationship over several as they navigate  postdoctoral life, career pressures and everything that comes after the happily-ever-after. 

Hazelwood also shared that, while nothing is confirmed just yet, a film adaptation of The Two-Body Problem is currently being developed by MRC for Amazon MGM Studios. Given the success of the recent The Love Hypothesis movie adaptation starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman, fans will definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

The Sunrise on the Reaping soundtrack is growing.

 

The hype for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping just keeps growing. The Smashing Pumpkins have released "Black Stars", the latest song from the film's official album, which arrives on 13 November ahead of the movie's 20 November release.

The soundtrack is shaping up to be a must-listen for fans, with Noah Kahan already contributing a track and rumours suggesting artists like Hozier, Lizzy McAlpine and Kacey Musgraves could also be involved. The Shatter Me universe continues to expand. Tahereh Mafi recently released Escape Me on 29 September 2026, the latest instalment in The New Republic spin-off series, and she's already teasing what could come next.

While details remain under wraps, Mafi has hinted that another book could arrive in 2027. The ever-growing franchise now includes six main novels and five companion novellas, proving fans still aren't ready to say goodbye to Juliette and the world of Shatter Me.

First look at Greta Gerwig’s Narnia movie revealed.

Following the global success of Barbie, director Greta Gerwig is heading somewhere even more magical. The first trailer for Gerwig's upcoming adaptation of The Magician's Nephew has officially been released, giving fans a glimpse at her take on the world of Narnia.

Based on C.S. Lewis' novel, the story serves as a prequel to the main Chronicles of Narnia series and follows Polly and Digory as they travel between worlds and witness the creation of Narnia itself. The film is set to arrive in IMAX and cinemas on 12 February 2027 before making its way to Netflix on 2 April 2027.

Netflix Announces a new Bridgerton prequel

 

The world of Bridgerton is getting even bigger. Netflix has announced a brand-new prequel series that will focus on the romance between a young Violet Bridgerton and Edmund Bridgerton, giving fans a closer look at the love story that's been referenced throughout the main series.
