Cool, Cool, Cool: Teen Wins Gold Medal After "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Binge

Imagine bingeing television like any other teen then winning a gold medal the next day.
Red Gerard is your new favourite millennial hero. Despite bingeing Brooklyn Nine-Nine, sleeping through his alarm, misplacing his winter jacket and the other usual antics of a 17-year-old, he managed to still score himself a gold medal (take that, millennial-haters).

Gerard scored the gold medal in the Men's slopestyle snowboarding, landing a switch backside 1260 and a backside triple cork 1440, which, in my expert analysis, probably involve a lot of spinning and flipping.
The gold medal was made all the more special being the U.S.'s first for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics (Chloe Kim has since scored one too). What are all the other American Olympians doing? Shot-gunning beers apparently, so they're having a great time regardless.
Red Gerard said he got a Snapchat this morning around 8:30 a.m. from his group of 17 people that is in Pyeongchang, South Korea to support him for the Games: "They were all shotgunning beers on the way to the mountains." pic.twitter.com/JORk5m3pH5

Gerard still has another chance at scoring a medal with the upcoming Men's Big Air event next week. Go get 'em.
