The Lonely Island Just Dropped a New Special to Cure Your "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Void

The Lonely Island just dropped 2019's best new music release.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine's latest season may have just wrapped up but that doesn't mean you have to wait another year to get your much-needed Andy Samberg fix.

That's because in a move only (memorably, anyway) pulled off by Beyoncé before them, The Lonely Island has just dropped a new Netflix special out of nowhere.

It's called The Lonely Island Presents: The Unauthorised Bash Brothers Experience and it's a self-described "visual poem", much like Beyoncé's recent Homecoming release.

Samberg and fellow Lonely Islander, Akiva Schaffer, parody the real-life Bash Brothers, Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire, two teammates from US baseball club the Oakland Athletics during the 80s, who later admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs in their career.

Among the hilarious cameos are Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Rosa, duh), Maya Rudolph and even HAIM.

Naturally, the fandom was more than satisfied.

Catch The Lonely Island Presents: The Unauthorised Bash Brothers Experience on Netflix from right now or stream the banger-filled album on Spotify.
