Students Are Gearing Up for the Next #ClimateStrike in March

“As school students, we’re sick of being ignored."
Back in November, we attended Sydney’s School Strike 4 Climate Change, where Year 9 student and rally organiser Jean Hinchliffe told us "we’re definitely not stopping here."
And she wasn’t lying!
A global student strike has been set for 15 March, with almost 30 different locations around Australia gearing up for rallies of their own.
“As school students, we’re sick of being ignored,” a statement on the Aussie page reads.
“We’re sick of our futures being turned into political footballs. We feel sick when we see and hear about the climate impacts that are already devastating communities here and all around the world.”
NSW Education Minister Rob Stokes told Sky News that students and teachers will be "punished" if they participate in the rallies during class time.
Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old Swedish student who helped to spearhead this global movement, clapped back on Twitter saying, "We hear you. And we don’t care."
Ok. We hear you.
