Students Accidentally Shown Porn During Jarryd Hayne’s Online Safety Presentation

Jarryd Hayne’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year has climaxed (ahem) with a pornographic mishap during a school presentation on the Gold Coast.

And as we all know, pornographic mishaps are the very worst kind of mishaps.

Hayne was speaking at Robina State High School in Queensland, helping educate young Australians on safe internet usage with a representative from Norton Security, when a pornographic website appeared on the screen.

According to The Guardian, the images included “lewd acts and a topless woman”.

Yes, there is (censored) footage. It is hugely uncomfortable to watch.

Norton’s Nick Savvides, who was co-hosting the session, has insisted that the images came from another device that had entered the school’s open network.

For his part, Hayne offered this assessment of the experience: “It was [awkward].”

“I shut my phone straight away so that way I was logged off. Wow.”

Hayne is not scheduled to co-present any further online safety presentations with Norton.

We suppose this is the point where we remind readers that Student Edge does Cyber Safety presentations too…
