Strap In Because "Far Cry New Dawn" Is Coming Early Next Year and It Looks Badass

Hello again, Hope County.

Far Cry 5 was only released less than a year ago but its developer, Ubisoft, has wasted no time getting to work on the next installation in the series.

At The Games Awards today, they announced that Far Cry New Dawn would be the next addition to the series; a direct sequel to the events of Far Cry 5.

The cover shows two savage-looking women with guns smirking toward us while a man is tied up in the background. They've since been revealed as The Twins, Lou and Mickey; the leaders of a gang of baddies who call themselves "Highwaymen".

**MINOR FAR CRY 5 SPOILERS BELOW, LOOK AWAY NOW**

It's set to take part 17 years after the events of Far Cry 5 in Hope County after the earth was decimated by a nuclear catastrophe. It seems the Father was right after all?

While it looked to be released as early as tomorrow (on Amazon US, anyway), Ubisoft has now confirmed that 15 February 2019 is the date. A Valentine's gift, perhaps?

So, let's take a looksie at this lush apocalyptic landscape.

Here are some albino deer eating shrubs in Hope County.

We're not sure if this bison is a sculpture or some sort of moss-covered mutant. We think it's the latter.
