Where to Find the "Guns For Hire" In "Far Cry New Dawn"

There's a Gun For Hire for every occasion in Far Cry New Dawn.

Far Cry New Dawn (FCND) isn't the most complex game, but there's still an array of different features you'll need to master.

Essentially, ethanol is pretty much the key to cracking FCND. However, getting it is no easy feat.

Thankfully, the Guns For Hire system returns in this quasi-sequel, meaning you don't have to go it alone in this grand fight.

The thing is, not all Guns For Hire are immediately available for you to just recruit. You'll need to find them first, and sometimes even do missions for them, before you can utilise their services.

And... that's where we come in. Here's a quick guide to get you started so you can find a like-minded pal to help you take out all those meddling Highwaymen.

Carmina Rye

If you've played Far Cry 5, you might remember Carmina. Well, maybe not, because she was merely born during that game. But, 17 years later, Carmina is now a capable Highwaymen-killing machine. She's great if you're looking for an all-around assaulter.

Where to find her? You won't need to as your first Gun For Hire comes complimentary.

Timber

If what you really need is a good boy to join you in your travels across Hope County, look no further than Timber.

Timber's strength is in scouting AKA marking all the enemies (both human and creature), crafting materials and anything else handy you'll need.

Where to find him? Timber can be found at Meatfort, east of the Broken Forge Outpost. But first, you'll have to save his furry mates from being snacks.

Nana

If your play style is more 'shoot-from-afar and sneak in quietly', Nana's your gal. Aside from being an effective killer, Nana is also a delight to listen to and is full of snarky comebacks and jokes about her age.

Where to find her? Nana will be holed up in Nana's Perch, east of Blacklung Mine. You'll have to prove to her that you have an eagle eye.

Pastor Jerome

There's nothing more Hope County than a gun-wielding man of God, and Pastor Jerome keeps on brand. If you like watching things go up in flames, bring along Pastor Jerome because fire is his game and he's obviously the number one player.

Where to find him? Pastor Jerome will be waiting for you at Ramone's Lookout, east of Rye and Daugther Aviation. Expect to free him and some other prisoners first before he joins you.

Horatio

Don't send a human to do a hog's job or however the expression goes. In FCND, you can have a pet hog and he's great at breaking down walls... literally. If you're done with good boy Timber, bring along this fearsome hog for some grunt work.

Where to find him? Horatio is at Elsinore Farm, west of The Pantry outpost. Unlock him from his paddock to be his new bestie.

Hurk Drubman Jr.

Hurk's a simple guy. He likes explosions. He's armed with an RPG, which is great when the enemies are far away, but that's not always going to be the case. If you like to live on the wild side, explosions-wise, team up with Hurk.

Where to find him? He'll be south-east of the Trailer Town outpost, on the edge of the map.

Gina Guerra

Gina's speciality is guns... big guns. If you're planning on sneaking into outposts, Gina's probably not the one you want to bring along. Once some of her extra perks have been unlocked, Gina can essentially mow down hordes of Highwaymen with unlimited and exploding ammo. Neat.

Where to find her? You'll find her in Prosperity after you've completed Act 1 and recruited Sharky.

The Judge

Mysterious, hooded, brooding? The Judge, similar to Nana, is great at stealth play styles. Also, he just looks like a person you wanna be friends with, right?

Where to find them? The Judge will automatically be available as a companion after you've completed the 'Joseph's Secret' mission.

Far Cry New Dawn is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
