"Spider-Man 3" Officially Gets a Gloomy Title: "No Way Home"

"Spider-Man 3" Officially Gets a Gloomy Title: "No Way Home"

My Spidey senses are tingling.

Yesterday, the internet was completely shook when Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon each posted a still from Spider-Man 3, with very different titles for the film.

The titles included Spider-Man: Home Wrecker, Spider-Man: Phone Home, and—my personal favourite—Spider Man: Home Slice.

Of course, things quickly spiralled and countless Twitter users started creating their own titles for the movie. Spider-Man: Work From Home deserves a shout-out.

Anyway, all the Spidey fun had fans wondering: what will Spider-Man 3 actually be called?

Well, a clip posted to social media earlier this morning revealed just that.

The teaser features Zendaya and Batalon teasing Holland for his habit of accidentally revealing MCU spoilers in interviews. According to the clip, director Jon Watts has told the trio different titles so that Holland won't drop any spoilers.

At the end, they pass a whiteboard that contained the film's official title: Spider-Man: No Way Home (which sounds pretty bleak, imo).

In December 2020, reports emerged that we could be seeing past Peter Parker actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire return for the upcoming film.

However, earlier this month Holland denied that Garfield and Maguire have any involvement in No Way Home.

On the other hand, it has been confirmed that Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx will reprise their roles from Sony's previous Spider-Man movies.

At this stage, not a whole lot is known about the plot. This third Spidey film will apparently fully embrace the multiverse elements, just like its animated counterpart Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

It's also likely that Holland's character will have to deal with the fallout of Spider-Man: Far From Home (you know the spicy mid-credits scene I'm talking about).

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be released in Australian cinemas this Christmas.
