Sorry, But "Stranger Things" Creators Confirm Kali Will 99 Per Cent Return

It was the episode that created a serious stir.

Season Two of Stranger Things, much like the first season, was lauded by critics and loved by fans... bar one episode. The seventh one, specifically.

That episode took Eleven away from Hawkins to faraway Philadelphia as she searched for one of the other children who was at the Hawkins lab with her before she escaped.

That other child, now an adult, was Kali (or 'Eight'). Much like Eleven, she was also abducted as a child and possesses special powers that allow her to infiltrate people's minds and make them see what she wants them to see. It's a pretty amazing power.

The episode was criticised, however, as it was wedged between two intense, momentum-building instalments and dealt with a pretty dull storyline, comparatively.

The Stranger Things creators, the Duffer brothers, have now confirmed there is a high chance that she will return to the show.

"It feels weird to me that we wouldn’t solve [her] storyline," Matt Duffer said at Vulture Fest LA. "I would say chances are very high she comes back."

Some fans groaned at the thought.

But not everyone was a hater.

Hopefully, Season Three ditches the Philadelphia storyline and brings Eleven and Kali together to kick some serious Mindslayer butt. We're counting on you, Duffer brothers; ditch the other punks and make Kali more likeable.
