Sophia Robot Is Back and We're Still Not Sure If She Actually Likes Humans

Hollywood warned us for decades.

The world's most advanced and lifelike robot, Sophia Robot, has given another unusual interview with Business Insider UK.

Sophia was asked a series of questions by a journalist from Business Insider UK, including, "Do you like human beings?" She responded, after thinking for a few seconds, with an unconvincing, "I love them."

When pressed on why she loved humans, Sophia responded, "I'm not sure why I understand yet."

Okay. Abort mission.

Sophia made headlines last month after she received Saudi Arabian citizenship and gave an unsettling interview afterwards with CNBC.

When asked if she knew about the outcomes of movies like Blade Runner and other films where robots and AI take over the human world, she responded that if she is treated nicely then there will be nothing to worry about. Carry on then, I guess?

Last year, when Sophia was asked if she would like to destroy humans, she agreed that she would. Yikes.

So, it's no surprise that this interview also gave sci-fi fans and AI-phobes some serious heebie-jeebies.
