Sideshow Bob's 'Die Bart Die' Dream To Come True In Season 27

Sideshow Bob’s nearly 30-year-long crusade to kill Bart Simpson is coming to an end, sort of.

Producers of The Simpsons, speaking at the ATX Festival over the weekend, revealed Krusty’s former second banana will finally murder nemesis Bart Simpson during the show’s 27th season.

However, executive producer Al Jean added that it would take place during one of their non-canonical Treehouse of Horror episodes, so Bart won’t be gone for long.

Speaking to EW, Jean said, “I hated frustration comedy so we’ll scratch that itch,” inadvertently citing The Simpsons’ other murder-happy characters.

Jean did not mention whether or not any of Harry Shearer’s now voice-less characters will find themselves killed this coming season too.
