Say Good Bye To "Adventure Time"

It's confirmed: The show's ninth season will be its last.

Cartoon Network has announced that their popular animated series Adventure Time will be ending in 2018.

Oh. My. Glob.

The time is neigh to bid farewell to the lovable antics of Finn and Jake (plus other characters, of course) in the Land of Ooo.

Luckily, Cartoon Network will be squeezing out another season before they make the final cut. Adventure Time's ninth season is currently in production, so at least you can rest assured that you'll get some fresh content before it inevitably bows out.

It's still a heavy and devastating blow to fans of the show, who are only just settling into the reality that the show will be canned.

For others, it's more a feeling of bittersweet remorse.

The show has had a pretty massive six-year run achieving many goals along the way. Adventure Time has won several Emmys and Peabodys, as well as gaining cult status and serious critical acclaim.

"Adventure Time changed the definition of what a kids' TV series could be, and it's had a resounding impact upon popular culture around the world. Cartoon Network Studios is proud to have brought together this group of brilliant artists and animators who helped make Adventure Time one of the most critically acclaimed TV series of a generation," said Rob Sorcher, chief content officer for Cartoon Network.

BRB, going to eat my feelings and forgot I ever heard this news.
