Sad Ben Affleck Will No Longer Be "Batman" When It's Released In 2021

The era of Sad Affleck is now officially over.
It hasn't quite been three years since Ben Affleck first donned the black cape and cowl combo to casually take on an almost-invincible alien in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice but his time as the brooding Batman is finally up.
Deadline is reporting that the 46-year-old will hang up the Batman suit for a younger actor to take on when a new film is released in 2021 alongside Suicide Squad 2 and DC Super Pets.
He'd already foregone his part as a director on the upcoming solo movie, which he'd allegedly co-written with DC's Geoff Johns. A sad end for a sad era.
Affleck's time as the caped crusader was marred with criticism and eye-rolling.
Put nicely, his debut in the suit wasn't very popular and people noted that Ben Affleck's performance as Bruce Wayne and his dark alter ego was painstakingly average. Especially, following in Christian Bale's steps.
You could say he was the Batman the world doesn't deserve but happened to have...

What was popular from this era was a wee press interview he conducted alongside his co-star Henry Cavill. Upon being asked about the horrific timid reception to Batman v Superman, Affleck stared into an empty void as Cavill explained in detail why it didn't matter.
A meme was born and Affleck's legacy as the bat forever changed.
While the new actor to play as Gotham's antihero has yet to be announced, you can expect The Batman to hit cinemas (at least for now) on 24 June 2021 in Australia.

Well I don't think he really did justice to the role, he looked old and slow, so it's not so bad.
