Ryan Gosling Lookalike Asks Emma Stone to Prom With Epic “La La Land” Recreation

What a year it’s been for dudes who vaguely resemble Ryan Gosling!

Jacob Staudenmaier, a 17-year-old student in Phoenix, hasn’t managed to get a date for his school prom, so he’s decided to reach for the (literal) stars and prom-pose to Oscar winner Emma Stone, who definitely has time for this kind of thing.

You can’t blame the guy for trying. He’s even gone to the effort of recreating La La Land’s opening number, “Another Day of Sun”, with the help of some classmates and a couple of bros who look very uncomfortable re-enacting La La Land’s Broadway pizzazz.

His video has been liked more than 12,000 times and retweeted more than 27,000 times since debuting yesterday.

Speaking to USA Today, Staudenmaier said he’d not yet received an answer from Stone.

“I’ve heard a rumour and sort of a confirmed truth that her mom has seen it,” he said.

“I assume at some point it will get to her.”

If he’s such a fan of La La Land, he should probably start preparing now for some heartbreak.
