Remember the White Jacket Wardrobe Meltdown? Turns Out, It May Have Happened Again

“Don’t make the same mistake twice,” they said.

Pretty sure no one has forgotten 9 News host Amber Sherlock’s massive meltdown after she, a colleague, and a guest all wore white shirts during a broadcast.

Everyone either thought it was a complete overreaction or downright hilarious (or both). Either way, it was pretty much palmed off as a one-off thing.

But maybe not?

On Monday night, Sherlock was joined by fashion writer Kellie Alderman and colleague Kate Collins. Thing is, Alderman rocked up wearing the exact same colour top (or dress?) as Sherlock.

Viewers were quick to point out the wardrobe situation…

This cheeky Twitter user wondered just how far reaching Sherlock can get with her requests.

It also turns out the initial leaker of the white jacket drama might have been caught. A source told the Daily Telegraph, "The editor who originally sent the clip around the newsroom got off pretty easily because they didn’t intend it to get out.”

The source says the leaker is “on-air” talent, and they aren’t expected to cop any backlash for their actions. There were rumours floating around previously that the person responsible for the leak could be fired, but that doesn’t look like the case anymore.

Dodged a bullet there.
