"PUBG" Just Announced a New Map and It's Savage

Put Fortnite on pause for a second because this might bring you back to PUBG.

Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) was the (metaphorically) hottest game last year. But like every good thing, that kinda came to an end when Battle Royale newcomer Fortnite came around to take the reins as one of the most played and streamed games of the moment.

Perhaps, in a bid to win some of those once-loyal fans back, PUBG has announced a new map with a twist so savage, it's bound to test some patience.

The new map, called "Codename: Savage", is still in testing mode but is half the size of the game's two other maps. This means that the game's 100 players will be forced to shoot and dodge each other much earlier in the game rather than seek refuge in the far-flung corners of the map.

To help out those who turn into nervous wrecks playing the game (just me?), it also looks very lush with tonnes of cover compared to the barren wastelands of the game's current maps, Erangel and Miramar.

The verdict is in from those who've already tested it, and it's getting a solid thumbs up.

If you're brave enough to try out this scary new world of PUBG, keep an eye on this page for when more testing codes are released.
