Say Goodbye to the PlayStation Plus Collection

If you’re a PS5 owner - don’t want to sleep on this news.

PlayStation announced this morning that the PlayStation Plus Collection will be no more – but its not too late to claim a bunch of amazing games.

The PlayStation Plus Collection has been offered since 2020 to all PS5 owners who have had a PlayStation Plus subscription, and the collection has an incredible catalogue of some of the biggest PlayStation 4 hits, including some massive first-party titles.

The announcement was made this morning right at the end of the official monthly PlayStation Plus blog, explaining that on 9 May the PlayStation Plus Collection will be no longer offered.

I’m devo.

However, if you claim any of the games in the collection before the date, you’ll still be able to access them afterwards if you have an active PlayStaton Plus membership.

To buy the games outright on the PlayStation Store range some start at around $25 to almost $100, so you’ll be saving heaps by jumping onto this ASAP.

Check out the PlayStation Plus Collection below, as well as the newly announced titles coming 7 February for PlayStation Plus Essential members.

Oof, what a line-up. BRB while I claim everything.

February PlayStation Plus Essential Games.

There are three games and one DLC that have been announced as part of this month’s PlayStation Plus essential games, available from 7 February.

• Evil Dead: The Game. (PS4, PS5)

This survival-horror will have you working as a team, playing as iconic characters from the Evil Dead franchise to seal the breach between worlds.

• OlliOlliWorld. (PS4, PS5)

Bring out your inner Tony Hawk in this action-platformer and grind, flip and trick your way through an vibrant 2D world.

• Mafia: The Definitive Edition. (PS4)

A full remake of the 2002 game of the same name, this single-player action-adventure title has you playing a cab-driver turned gangster in 1930s Illinois.

• Destiny 2: Beyond Light DLC. (PS4, PS5)

ICYMI - the Destiny 2 base game is free-to-play, so of course make sure you have it downloaded before you download this expansion. ‘Guardians will explore Europa, master the new elemental power of Stasis and collect powerful Exotic gear as they battle the Fallen Kell of Darkness, Eramis’.

I am absolutely living for the variety with this month’s games.

It’s safe to say there are no excuses for not having anything to play this month on PlayStation, and if you never hear from me again… You’ll have a pretty good idea of what I’m up to.
