PSA: PlayStation 5 Is Back in Stock At EB Games

Ya better be quick though.
Nobody panic, but the PlayStation 5 is back in stock at EB Games.
The fastest selling console in history has returned to the shelves with EB Games Australia listing online the PS5 is available for order. It's the first time the retailer has done so since last September.
So, time to jump online or make a call to your closest store to check if they have any available (if you can fork out $749 for the console).
Personally, I'd recommend making a call to a couple of stores just to be sure, as the EB Games website doesn't always reflect how much stock a store has.
Don't get your hopes up either for other places stocking the console. According to @AustraliaPs5 on Twitter, EB Games look to be the only retailer to have recieved stock.
As someone lucky enough to have played one, I’m seriously tempted to bust a move down to EB Games right now and secure my own.
If you’re still wondering why there is a shortage of PS5s despite the fact Sony should have been prepared, let me shed a little light on this.
Apparently in a recent investor call, the shortage in consoles was in-part put down to a shortage of semiconductors. It’s not just Sony that’s been affected, with this chip shortage also impacting car manufacturers around the world too.
Elsewhere in PS5 news, Spanish news site Area Jugones has leaked that there are new DualSense controllers on the way in new colours.

And now, it looks as though we’ll be able to customize our setups, with a new Red and Black variant, as well as a Red and Gray model dropping soon. pic.twitter.com/l4kL2wOvNH
“Sony will launch a variant of the PS5 DualSense with red and black colours very soon and another model that would combine with black and grey,” the website reported.
For now, their source hasn’t given them any more info regarding the exact appearance of the two new controllers, but it’s been enough time since the PS5's launch for Sony to begin releasing new colour schemes for their controllers and possibly even a different coloured PS5.
And just for those wondering, there's still no news on a desperately needed Slim version of the PS5 yet, but last week it was reported Sony are doing an internal redesign of the console to release next year.
Let’s hope once the COVID pandemic has settled down, Sony can start pumping out the PS5 like it’s going out of fashion.
