PSA: "Pen15" Season 2 Comes to Stan in Australia on 19 September

We’re going back to the year 2000 (because 2020 isn’t working for us TBH).

Your favourite not-quite-teenagers Maya and Anna are returning for the second season of Pen15, which was one of our absolute favourite TV shows of 2019.

Starring thirty-something co-creators Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle as fictionalised versions of their 13-year-old selves, the series shows the awkward duo navigating high school in the year 2000 with an honesty and frankness you just don’t get to see in most high school series.

Compounding the awkwardness: the clearly-not-13-year-old Erskine and Konkle starred opposite actual pre-teens, which, umm, made the kissing scenes extremely uncomfortable to watch! (Don’t worry, it was all above board…)

The second season promises even more extremely hilarious and queasy-making content, and debuts on Stan in Australia on 19 September. (It’s on Hulu in the U.S.) Stan’s where you can also catch up with S1… and we suggest you do, if only to appreciate the context around these always handy GIFs.
