Bad Aca-News: "Pitch Perfect 3" Has Been Delayed By An Eternity (Okay, Just Five Months)

Update your calendar… again.

Last month, we delighted in the news that Pitch Perfect 3 would be coming to cinemas a full two weeks earlier than initially promised.

We happily blocked-out all of July 21, 2017 (anticipating multiple viewings) and set the previously-scheduled release date of August 4 free.

Today, we sadly inform you that you’ll need to edit your iCal once more.

According to THR, Pitch Perfect 3 will now debut a full five months later, on December 22, 2017. (This is the U.S. release date, so expect it to arrive in Australia either a touch earlier or later.)

Though the press release announcing the change encourages us to “get ready to have a Merry Pitchmas”, we are saddened by our newly Pitch-free winter.

Elizabeth Banks will once again direct PP3, with all your faves like Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Hailee Steinfeld returning to perform a cappela renditions of ‘90s R&B classics, probably.
