Pauline Hanson Is Creating a “South Park”-Style Cartoon Series to Reach Younger Voters

The 20-episode series will be called “Please Explain”.

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson is apparently making a South Park-style cartoon web series called Please Explain and that’s exactly what we’re asking about this.

The Australian revealed that the 20-episode series is an effort by the polarising politician to reach young voters in the 18 to 35-year-old age range.

Please Explain will be set in a classroom and Hanson will be the teacher attempting to control a class of rowdy students. The catch is, those rebellious ‘students’ are well-known Australian politicians and political figures.

Now we’re getting spicy.

A sneak into the character models shows Prime Minster Scott Morrison dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and thongs, Barnaby Joyce as a half-human/half-beetroot and Bill Shorten brandishing a knife.

Alongside them, Please Explain will also feature Anthony Albanese, Adam Bandt, Bob Katter, Sarah Hanson-Young and Peter Dutton dressed as Voldemort.

To cap it off, former Prime Ministers Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull will occasionally pop up in the classroom as ‘miserable ghosts’ wanting to derail Hanson’s lesson.

Hanson—who is using her own voice in the series—is believed to have spent over six figures on the production of the series that is rumoured to drop the first three episodes this week, so keep an eye on your social pipes.

With elections on the horizon, we suspect that Hanson’s attempt at a cartoon web series is more of a contemporary election campaign promo than a series that will rival to comedic chops of South Park.
