Parents Can't Get Home Because of Hurricane Harvey, So Are Just Going to School With Their Kids

That’s one solution.

Houston, Texas has been ravaged by flooding and devastating as a result of Hurricane Harvey.

However, there was no way to anticipate one aftershock of this natural disaster: A bunch of parents, unable to fly home, going to college classes with their kids.

Mums and dads who flew out to help their kids settle into out-of-state universities have found themselves stuck in the student dorms, waiting for flights back to Houston.

For instance, Kerubo Anassi’s dad, Enock, decided to follow his daughter to her New York school before the tropical storm hit. With planes grounded, the professor apparently decided to see what classes were like on America’s east coast, Buzzfeed reports.

Her brother shared Kerubo's embarrassment—and Enock’s unbridled, not-at-all self-aware glee—on Twitter.

Nicole Zimmerer, seemingly of Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania, also chimed in with a similar tale of woe. Her mother, it seemed, was already on the wines in her dorm room.

One Twitterer had the right attitude about it all.
