One of the Stars of the "Charmed" Reboot Has Hit Back At You Haters

The new Charmed ones have heard your criticisms and they're biting back.

If you haven't been following the Charmed debacle, let us spin you a yarn so spicy, you're bound to get heartburn (I'm not a real doctor, though).

It all began in the early months of 2018 when The CW (a U.S. TV channel) announced that they were working on a reboot of the achingly corny but very loved Charmed for release later this year.

The CW doesn't always produce the most critically-acclaimed television series so, naturally, everyone was suspicious, including the original cast.

But, as more information was released, it actually seemed pretty promising and the initial apprehension (a definite euphemism) seemed to subside for what seemed like at least half of the cult classic's followers.

Then the trailer was released, and it all came crashing down.

Alongside all the bruising comments of bad acting and bad CGI was a like-to-dislike ratio so low that even The Source of All Evil would think that's too cruel.

But Sarah Jeffery, who plays the youngest sister, Maggie, has hit back against all 3,100 of you haters.

"The original Charmed will always stay very much intact and will always be widely respected," Jeffery wrote. "[But] I know our show will have a positive effect on so many women, youth, and anyone who is receptive to being on the right side of history."

The comments come after OG actor, Holly Marie Combs (a.k.a. Piper) told a journalist at Huffington Post she hopes the reboot is "far better than the marketing."

C'mon, give them a chance. If it's even slightly good, it will still be better than the last few seasons of the original.
