"Charmed" Reboot Will Have a Diverse Cast, But Not Everyone's Convinced

The Charmed reboot will follow the adventures of a new power of three.

A new Charmed reboot was announced last month, which will see three new witches as they take on all the evils of The Underworld.

TV Line has now reported that the reboot's sisters will all start with the letter 'M' (instead of the original's 'P') and will be a "fierce, funny, feminist reboot" of "three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches", which sounds incredibly similar to the first one.

The new sisters, Macy, Mel and Madison, aren't cast yet but the network, The CW, is looking for actors of "all ethnicities" and it's rumoured one sister, Mel, will be a lesbian.

So, it's definitely looking to be a more diverse set of cast members and characters than the original, which is always a good thing.

But along with O.G. Piper (played Holly Marie Combs), Charmed purists want Hollywood to get their stinking paws off the nineties-turn-naughties classic.

I'm all for it if it features Alyssa Milano, or her equivalent, doing jaw-dropping kicks like this. All we can do is wait and see.
