OK Go's New Slow-Mo Video Took Seconds To Film And Is Maybe Their Most Eye-Popping Yet

Occasional band and constant viral video creators OK Go have returned with their latest effort to make it 2005 again through science or magic.

For tune “The One Moment”, however, they’ve abandoned treadmills, mind-bending optical illusions and zero-gravity. Instead, they’ve embraced super, super slow motion.

The first three quarters of the clip took just 4.2 seconds to film, followed by 16 seconds of lip-syncing, and then three more seconds of footage; it was slowed down to sync up with the three-minute song. All in all, the band says the video contains “318 events”, though it is not known how many “puke events” this one caused.

And though we’d love to say that we’re sick of OK Go’s attention-seeking antics and obsession with novelty – this thing is astounding. We won't remember the song in a week, but the video is indeed nifty. That's the OK Go guarantee.

The clip was produced with Morton Salt’s #WalkHerWalk campaign, highlighting order within chaos. Or, as the statement on the band’s website explains, they “constructed a moment of total chaos and confusion, and then unraveled that moment, discovering the beauty, wonder, and structure within.”

You can watch the 'making of' below. Yes, their music videos warrant 'makings of'.
