Nicki Minaj Accuses Italian Designer Giuseppe Zanotti of Being Racist

Fashion designer Giuseppe Zanotti has landed in the hot seat after allegedly refusing to collaborate with Nicki Minaj.

Rapper Nicki Minaj has called out Zanotti in a series of tweets and Instagram posts. According to Minaj, Zanotti has used her as inspiration for some of his sneakers, but has denied offers to collaborate on a collection together.

The whole beef is about a particular line of sneakers he sells called “Nicki”. It’s understood the shoe collection was inspired by Minaj herself, after she mentioned Zanotti in an iconic rap verse. Those familiar with her track Monster would be pretty familiar with the line: “Giuseppe heel, that’s the monster shoe”.

“Don’t care about the money. It’s just the disrespect. You’re not taking MY call? Lol”, wrote Nicki. “Give some money to charity in my name or smthn,” she continued.

The rapper also asked fans to signal boost hashtags #GiuseppeWhatsGood and #RunMeMyCHECK. Minaj tweeted, “the racism & disrespect won’t b tolerated.”

Minaj later said, “Women are always shamed by other when speaking up in the work place. That’s why women cont. to earn less.”
