Miley Cyrus Brought Ashley O to Glastonbury, Meaning "Black Mirror" Is Now Real Life

She’s on a roll.

If you need further proof that Black Mirror is getting freakishly close to our real life, one of its characters just stepped out of the television to perform a brief set at Glastonbury.

That’d be Ashley O, the fictional (?!?) pop star played by Miley Cyrus in Season 5’s standout episode “Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too”.

During Cyrus’ set at the UK music fest, she popped on Ashley’s signature purple wig and performed a rendition of her Nine Inch Nails’ sampling banger "On a Roll" (a song that is actually better than most of the tunes climbing the charts at the moment).

The clip was shared by BBC Radio 1, and though it’s not entirely clear how familiar the crowds at Glastonbury were with the song, or even the episode (which only arrived on Netflix last month), Miley/Ashley’s icon status was cemented by the approving hordes on Twitter.

In related news, "On a Roll" hit the US Pop Digital Song Sales Billboard chart this week, debuting at #19. It makes Miley only the fourth artist to score a hit under three separate names. If only we were all as stoked on ambition and verve.
