His work will no longer feature in Vogue, GQ or Vanity Fair.

Fashion photographer Terry Richardson's work will no longer feature in some of the world's biggest magazines after the Vice President of media company Condé Nast, James Woolhouse, sent an email on Monday stating that he can no longer be commissioned and that his still unpublished work should be "killed and substituted with other material."

Condé Nast is the parent company of some of the world's biggest magazines such as Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and Wired.

The boycott of Richardson's work, while not stated in the leaked email, is likely to be related to the numerous sexual harassment and exploitation allegations that have mounted against him over his career.

Richardson has worked with the world's biggest celebrities and brands and his work is often sexually explicit. Some of his most famous work includes Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" video as well as photos of Barack Obama, Kylie Jenner and other well-known icons.

But numerous models have called him out over the years for his sexually predatory behaviour during shoots.

A representative for Richardson gave a statement explaining that Richardson was disappointed with the decision given that he's addressed these allegations previously. The representative also maintained that Richardson is known for his "sexually explicit work" and that "the subjects of his work participated consensually".

After the outcry against the Weinstein allegations and traction against Woody Allen's latest film, Richardson looks the next in line to meet his reckoning.
