Macaulay Culkin Has Turned 40 and the Internet Can't Handle It

We feel so old all of a sudden.

There are some things that we're simply better off not knowing. Sometimes, it is better to go through life blissfully unaware, rather than coming across facts that may send you into a tailspin.

Of course, those facts can be tough to avoid when you're on social media.

For example, we really didn't want to know that Macaulay Culkin has turned 40.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The actor, who rose to fame at the age of 10 in the 1990 comedy Home Alone, dropped a tweet where he made the exceptionally depressing revelation of how old he is.

Hey guys, wanna feel old?

I'm 40.

You're welcome.

Naturally, the internet was gobsmacked. And by the looks of the tweet, it appears that Macaulay knew exactly how shocked the news would make us all feel.

In another tweet, the actor wrote, "It's my gift to the world: I make people feel old. I'm no longer a kid, that's my job."

It's my gift to the world: I make people feel old.

I'm no longer a kid, that's my job.

Macaulay also pointed out that it's about time for him to start his midlife crisis, and suggested he tries to learn how to surf.

Since I'm 40 I think it's about time to start my midlife crisis.

I'm thinking of picking up surfing.

Do you all have any suggestions?

— Macaulay Culkin (@IncredibleCulk) August 26, 2020

Do any of you have photoshop skill? Can you put my head on a surfer so I can get an idea of how cool I'd look?

It is strange to accept that the child actors we grew up loving also age, but it's a harsh reality we must face.
