Top Five Christmas Movies to Watch This Festive Season

Top Five Christmas Movies to Watch This Festive Season

Did someone say Christmas movie marathon? 👀

Grab a hot chocolate, sit down and strap in as we count down the top five Christmas movies of all time (in our humble opinion).

We asked our team to tell us their top five Christmas films of all time. And after some (heated) discussion, we’ve put together a list below. Will your fave movie make the list?

You can catch some of these flicks on BINGE, Amazon Prime, Disney + and Paramount.

The Polar Express.

The Polar Express

A fan fave and one of our team’s fave is The Polar Express. It is a magic-filled adventure of a young boy on a journey to the North Pole to meet Santa. It’s wholesome and comforting and definitely one to add to your list.

The Holiday.

The Holiday

Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, and Jack Black star in this classic Christmas rom-com. Love, laughs and good times. Iris and Amanda live on opposites side of the world (Iris in London and Amanda in Los Angeles), but both decide to switch houses for two weeks after experiencing their own heartbreaks right before the Christmas period.

What’s not to love about this debatable not a Christmas, Christmas movie? And DW, it’s a happy ending.

ELF.

Elf

A human raised amongst elves at the North Pole, this Christmas film is one of self-discovery. It’s exciting, it’s nostalgic, and it's sure to put you in the Chrissy spirit.

Love Actually

Love Actually

This film follows the love stories of eight different couples (even the president 😲) in the lead-up to Christmas. It’s sure to give you the warm and fuzzies.

And it features people like Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Keira Knightley and Alan Rickman.

Home Alone

Home Alone

Did this one really surprise you? When Kevin is left home alone by mistake, he must take on a pair of thieves. Will he be able to defend his home? It's cheeky and fun and will be sure to get you laughing.

Of course, we couldn’t conclude our list without some honourable mentions! Another debatable Christmas film is Die Hard. Harry Potter was mentioned more than once as a Christmas fave. Bridget Jones's Diary, of course, is another “Christmas” rom-com.

And last but not least, we had a few team members say “I don’t watch Christmas films” Sounds like a grinch.

So, whether you already have your Chrissy movie marathon sorted or are needing so new films to spice up your list, we hope this list gave you some inspo.
