Everyone Wants to Play the Criminal Gran in "Watch Dogs: Legion"

You can play as anyone, but why would you choose anyone other than Helen?

As we all recently learned in the Black Mirror episode "Striking Vipers", the future of gaming means taking the form of anyone you choose and living out your wildest fantasies as your avatar via boundless virtual reality.

Until that day arrives, you can at least play a violent senior citizen named Helen in the upcoming Watch Dogs: Legion.

As revealed at Ubisoft’s E3 presentation today, the next Watch Dogs takes place in a dystopian, post-Brexit London, and will allow players to toggle between a variety of different hackers and agents of chaos, as well as any passer-by they see on the streets during gameplay.

However, after the presentation, it seems like the only one of the new characters anyone wants to play as is Helen, a rebellious pensioner who uses an army of robot spiders to attack her enemies and break into high security locations. Although, when the spiders don’t work, she whips out a taser and pistol whips security guards all by herself.

Jump to 3:34 to see her in action.

Helen is apparently a retired assassin, though, she doesn't look super retired to us. And though we haven't received confirmation as to whether or not she's a literal gran, the internet has already embraced her as an honourary nan.

Witness the thirst for Helen below.

Be careful with Helen, however. Watch Dogs: Legion introduces permadeath to the series, meaning that when one character dies, you'll have no choice but to select another one, and so on.

Helen's violent reign begins when Watch Dogs: Legion arrives in March of 2020.
