KitKat Ice Cream Sticks Have Returned With a New Recipe and We're So Ready

Time to have an ice-cold break.

That’s right y’all, one of Australia’s favourite chocolate bars is back in the freezer with an all-new recipe. Say hello to the KitKat Ice Cream Stick.

You might not know this, but the KitKat was actually revealed to be Australians’ favourite chocolate bar in a 2020 Neilsons report. Onya ‘straya.

It seems that Peters and Nestle have been reading that report because they have revived the KitKat ice cream that previously graced the frozen fridges back in 2019.

Let’s break down the recipe so you know what your tastebuds are instore for.

The new KitKat Stick are covered in a milk chocolate coating mixed with wafer pieces. Underneath the coating is a chocolate and wafer flavoured centre. Much wafer, many drool.

Head of Marketing at Peters, Andrea Hamori said the new KitKat Stick is going to be a new favourite for Aussies.

“We’re confident fans will enjoy our new indulgent sticks as much as they love eating the original chocolate bar,” she said.

“It’s just like eating a frozen version of Australia’s number one chocolate bar.”

I don’t want to sound too sceptical but the last KitKat ice cream wasn’t exactly accurate in flavour so you’ll have to forgive me if I’m reserving my opinion until I’ve tried one.

Speaking of which, the KitKat Stick is due to hit shelves this May so keep an eye out and get your hands on some if you can.

A multipack of four will set you back $8.50 or you can buy a single for $4. Let’s be real, you’re gonna want to get the four pack. It’s cheaper per ice cream and frankly, who ever stops at just one?

Our only issue with the new KitKat Stick—and any KitKat ice cream for that matter— is that they don’t resemble the chocolate bar at all. Is it too much to asked for a KitKat Chunky full or wafer chocolate ice cream?

We can only dream.

The KitKat Sticks unfortunately contains milk, soy, wheat and barley so if you have allergies be sure to read the label.
