Kim K Tells Ellen DeGeneres She Has Shed the Shackles of Materialism and Turned Over a New Leaf

Kim Kardashian has spoken about the infamous Paris robbery on The Ellen Show.

The Ellen Show’s host Ellen DeGeneres asked Kardashian to talk about last year’s incident, where she was held at gunpoint and robbed of jewelry worth millions in a Paris hotel.

She responded emotionally, explaining that she thinks it was meant to happen, to make her a better person. It’s pretty raw stuff.

But then she said something a little bit jarring.

She explained that she wasn’t materialistic anymore: “It’s just not who I am anymore."

“I truly don’t know if I’d ever wear real jewelry again,” she explained to Ellen.

It’s a touch hard to fathom, with the Kardashian family empire built on materialism, but people are willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Kardashian received a lot of backlash after the robbery was reported in the media with many people questioning whether it was staged for publicity or not.

After the robbery, Kardashian withdrew from the public limelight and social media for many months while she dealt with the trauma of the robbery.
