Keep Your Cool: Short Stack Has Announced a Massive 2020 Reunion Tour

It’s time to sway, sway baby.

There’s no doubt that the mid-to-late '00s were dominated by Short Stack. If you still vividly remember plastering posters of the pop-punk trio on your wall and scribbling hearts all over them, you aren’t the only one.

Short Stack took the Aussie music world by storm when they exploded onto the scene with their album Stack is The New Black in 2009. From then on, they inspired headbanging, fan hysteria and many questionable haircuts.

The album took out the top spot on the ARIA Charts, with lead single "Sway, Sway Baby!" peaking at #2. They followed it up with their gold-certified record This Is Bat Country in 2010.

So, it’s understandable that teenage stans all over the world went into full-blown mourning when the band announced they were calling it quits in 2012.

Despite briefly reforming in 2015, there haven't been many signs that the band would get back together since then. However, that all changed today when they announced a massive Australian reunion tour.

The boys will kick things off in Brisbane at The Trilld on Thursday 2 July, and then they'll head to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. They'll wrap things up in Perth at Astor Theatre on Saturday 11 July.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Shaun Diviney said in a statement, "I don't think we've ever been more excited for a tour. The early response has blown us away and we can't wait to see everyone in July!"

Short Stack will be supported by Aussie punk band Between You & Me, who has been compared to the likes of New Found Glory and Sum 41.

A Frontier members pre-sale opens on Monday 10 February from 11am AEDT, with general public tickets going on sale from 13 February at 2pm local time.

You won't want to miss out on these tickets, so make sure you get in quick. Oh, and make sure you stock up on some hairspray.
