The iconic pop-punk trio blink-182 has dropped some huge news – they’re reuniting for a massive world tour, which includes five Australian cities.

If you're firmly Gen Z like Student Edge’s Anica – you might be thinking “why is this such a big deal?”

Well Anica, it’s not just a big deal. It’s a huge deal.

Blink-182 are one of the biggest punk bands of the 90s and 2000s, having sold 50 million albums worldwide, released eight projects and have won 18 awards over the years.

The major point is that this is the first tour since 2009 that will feature the iconic three: Mark Hoppus on bass, Tom DeLonge on guitar and Travis Barker on drums.

If you’re like me and spent the early 2000s vibing to pop-punk, you’ve probably got literal chills reading those words.

The band last performed in Australia in 2013, but that was without the talents of drummer Travis Barker.

If you’ve got any millennials on your feed, you might want to check up on them, cause they’ll be freaking out for sure.

Not familiar with their music? You’ve got some homework to do.

Blink-182 are probably best known for their 1999 love punk song "All The Small Things", and the iconic accompanying music video (which netted them an MTV Video Music Award).

Blink-182 are hitting Australian shores towards the end of their 71-city, 25-country world tour that stretches across 2023 and 2024.

They first play in Perth on 9 February 2024, before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

General admission tickets go on sale on Thursday 20 October.
