Hacker Takes Over Katy Perry's Twitter To Leak Song And Give Taylor Swift A Shout-Out

None are safe on Twitter.

The account of Twitter's most followed person, Katy Perry, was compromised earlier today by a hacker who really didn't quite know what to do once they got in (except cause some trouble and then bolt).

For a few inglorious minutes, Perry's 89 million followers were treated to a series of offensive Tweets and one off-brand message of devotion to Katy's nemesis Taylor Swift.

The first Tweet after the hack encouraged people to "follow @sw4ylol" - our presumed culprit - and on that Twitter feed, fans could briefly hear what was alleged to be an unreleased Katy Perry song.

To seemingly prove the authenticity of the track, @sw4ylol later posted a message from SoundCloud citing a complaint from Universal Music Group. (It also revealed that they are registered in SoundCloud under the first name 'Slut'.)

Anyway, those Tweets have since been deleted from Perry's account. We may now resume our regularly scheduled programming:
