Joe Exotic Has a Limo Waiting to Escort Him From Prison If Trump Grants Pardon

His legal team is confident he'll get a pardon.

If you thought all the drama surrounding Tiger King had finally died down, you're officially wrong.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that former Oklahoma zookeeper Joe Exotic (aka Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage) is, uh, expecting to be pardoned by US President Donald Trump for attempted murder and counts of animal abuse.

The ABC reports that Trump is expected to offer more than 100 presidential pardons on his last full day in office.

Lil Wayne has been granted a presidential pardon only hours before President-elect Joe Biden is to be sworn in.

At the moment, Exotic is serving a 22-year sentence on two accounts of attempted murder of cool cat Carole Baskin, along with 17 charges of animal abuse.

So, why does Exotic believe he will get a pardon? Well, when Netflix's Tiger King docu-series became anything the internet could talk about, Trump's son Donald Jnr. said he was lobbying his father to pardon him.

As it turns out, Exotic's legal team believes Trump will actually issue a pardon.

His lawyer Eric Love told BBC News he's "confident" that Exotic will be pardoned.

In fact, they're so confident that they already have a limousine parked about half a mile from the prison waiting for him.

"This time tomorrow, we're going to be celebrating," Love told Metro on Monday.

"I've got makeup, wardrobe, the whole unit that will come up," he added.

"The first thing Joe wants to do, he wants his hair done. He hasn't had his hair done in two and a half years. That's the first order of business. Then we'll probably go and get some pizzas, steak, maybe a McRib."

Of course, the internet has been busy deciding whether Exotic should receive a pardon or not.

With only a short amount of time left in office, the rest of Trump's pardons will be announced imminently.

(Update 20/01/21): Despite Exotic's legal team's confidence, he did not receive a presidential pardon from Trump. Trump issued 73 pardons and 70 commutations, including Steve Bannon, Lil Wayne, Kodak Black and Kwame Kilpatrick.
