Jet-Ski Queens Jennifer Lawrence And Amy Schumer Are Writing A Screenplay Together

A newly-formed #squad to rival Taylor Swift’s growing army of awesome famous people has unveiled itself to the New York Times.

Jennifer Lawrence revealed to the Grey Lady she is co-writing a screenplay with sudden BFF Amy Schumer.

“I emailed her after I saw Trainwreck and said, ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you,’” she said.

“We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting.”

That texting apparently turned into jet-skiing – as was unexpectedly Instagrammed by Schumer this past month – before segueing more sensibly into screenwriting.

“Amy and I were creatively made for each other,” Lawrence added.

“It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up.”

In the script, Schumer and Lawrence play sisters. On that front, they have some competition.

It’s unknown if we’ll ever actually see the final project, but then again, it’s hard to imagine the biggest actress in the world and one of comedy’s most beloved rising stars not getting their pet project made.

Anyway, to the person who flipped a coin into a fountain wishing for this unlikely partnership to manifest… just keep doing what you’re doing.
