Jennifer Aniston Has Hinted at a New Project with the “Friends” Cast

They’ll always be there for you.

Earlier this month, Jennifer Aniston became the fastest person to reach one million Instagram followers, hitting the milestone in five hours and 16 minutes.

How? By posting a selfie with her fellow Friends cast members Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry.

Gaining 6.5 million followers in under a day, the large amount of activity on Jennifer’s post caused her account page to crash. The record was previously held by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s account @sussexroyal, which reached one million followers in five hours and 45 minutes. 

Naturally, seeing our old friends back together in the selfie provoked a number of questions. Why were they together? Were they simply enjoying each other’s company, reminiscing about the past, or is a reunion on the cards?  

While another season of Friends would fulfil our wildest dreams, it doesn’t seem likely. Crashing Charlie Puth's interview on The Ellen Show, Jennifer quickly shut down any potential reboot.

However, the actress did hint that a project is in the works.

"Listen, We would love for there to be something. But we don’t know what that something is. So, we’re just trying. We’re working on something," Jennifer said.

When host Ellen DeGeneres asked what shape this reunion might take, and whether it could possibly be a movie, Jennifer added, "No, we don’t know… I don’t want to lead people on."

Well, something is certainly better than nothing at all.

While no details have been confirmed at this stage, we'll be eagerly awaiting any updates.
