James Franco Sued For Allegedly Head-Butting A Photographer

The ever-prolific James Franco is now making an appearance on the pages of TMZ. The man is non-stop.

According to ye olde Thirty Mile Zone, Franco is being sued by photographer David Tonnessen for an alleged head-butt.

Tonnessen claims Franco charged at him and head-butted him in the stomach while he was trying to photograph Lana Del Rey during her 2014 concert at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

At the time, Franco was writing a book about Del Rey, though the book never eventuated. We do not know if the head-butt has anything to do with the delay in its publication.

In the court documents, Tonnessen apparently describes Franco as “smiling, rather demonically” when they first locked eyes. At the time of the head-butt, Franco had a “blank expression of joy on his face.”

It’ll no doubt take the lawyers some time to parse that last description – a blank expression of joy – but the image of Franco “smiling… demonically” at a cemetery is going to be a difficult one to shake.

Franco is yet to comment on the suit, but he did post a photo of himself out front of the Psycho house.

Truly demonic.
